RANDOM GEEKMODE BLOG  NO. - 001 || 070706

First of many.  Allow me to reintroduce myself.  My name is Mark and I'm a geek.

Tekken: Dark Resurrection for the PSP was released in Japan and Southeast Asia this week.  It made me blow the dust off my PSP.  Finally the PSP would have something worth playing again.  Sadly I really wanted this game to come out on PS2 to further help the striving fighting game community.  Oh well.  Something is better than nothing.

As you can see the JPN version of the game came with a little d-pad attachment.  The d-pad attachment greatly improves the overall feel of the PSP d-pad, making both diagonals and complex sliding motions much easier to pull off.

I've been spoiled by the arcade version of this game so I honestly don't like the PSP version that much.  I would much rather play the arcade version or 5.0 on PS2.  But it's a nice thing to have when you're on the shitter or waiting in line or whatever.

Some very unique features included on the game are game sharing(2 players can fight vs each other with one UMD!), ghost downloads(players can download and upload other people's ghosts[emulates their playstyle]), and an online ranking mode(like in Tekken 4).

Well worth the buy for any Tekken fan, but not enough to go out and purchase a PSP for.  The PSP though is showing much promise after a long drought of lackluster titles.  What's on the horizon?  Brave Story, Extreme Ghouls N' Ghosts, Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops and more!
